Poet's Statement

Many challenges face those recovering from the trauma of the Holocaust, one of which, as recounted in many interviews, is the constant resurfacing of troubling memories from that time. Although nobody could imagine what those in the concentration camps experienced, I hope that by appealing to senses that people use everyday, the reader would be able to sympathize with those memories.
